The main activities of RETHEY TEAM are focused on race cars:
• Production and incorporation of safety cages/rollcages
• Bodywork modifications and reinforcements
• Production of special-purpose spare parts

We aim to offer a complete set of services for our customers. For that we readily undertake to implement their plans, from dismantling and assembly up to polishing.

Production and incorporation of rollcages, tubular structures

Our first rollcage was built in 1990 for a racing Toyota Corolla 1,6 Gt, as we tried to deal with the disadvantages of the practice of that time to make bolt-fastened structures: we started making welded rollcages. Since then RETHEY TEAM has produced hundreds of rollcages for racing cars of all kinds.
Apart from the custom-made rollcages for car racing, we make rollcages for cars taking part in "one-make" championships and cup series. Those may be in small outputs of 6-10 cars or bigger series of 40-50 rally cars in a race.

We work with St35 carbon steel for the production of own rollcages but we can carry out embedding/incorporation of rollcages made from T45 carbon steel produced by other suppliers, too. At the moment, development is focused on production of own rollcages from T45.
On the other hand, at RETHEY TEAM we are working on reducing the weight of our standard rollcages made from St35. For the rollcages that have gone under static testing, we can use steel tubes of smaller diameter and thickness, which is not affecting as much the weight, as reduces the cost.

Karts / tube-frame race cars

At RETHEY TEAM we like this task! We can implement the whole project starting from the design of the framework, throught the production of the main parts, on to assembly, and finally, getting the required documentation and permissions for the ready kart.
As in the case of rollcages, we work with either St35 or T45 steel tube.

Bodywork modifications and reinforcements for rallying cars.

RETHEY TEAM undertake to prepare the bodywork of any car in order to take part in races and cup series of any category. The preparation may consist of:

• cleaning (cleaning of welding edges, removement of coating, sandblasting)
• re-welding
• closing of rifts and holes
• reinforcement for the parts of the structure that would get most stressed
• fixing/fastening elements for seat frames, seat belts, spare wheels, battery, pedal pegs, etc.
• building in nozzles for hanging on jack stands
• other amendments (turrets, suspension points, etc)

Production of special-purpose spare parts, especially for race cars

RETHEY TEAM undertake design and production of special-purpose parts, either unique or in series. From steel plate parts for the rollcage on to elements used for the chassis. From design to surface treatment.
• Crossmembers
• Chassis and suspension elements and parts (csonkállványok, swing arms, steel arces)
• Pegs and frames (engine and gearbox pegs, pedal pegs, supporting frames)
• Various steel plate spare parts for the bodywork and the rollcage
• Tanks and shells (equaliser tank, crankcase, tank shell, etc)
• Protective plates (for crankcase, fuel tank, etc)
• Turret reinforcements, various reinforcing elements for mounts and supporting points.
